Wanda Shannon Clark was born May 4, 1963 in Hopkinsville, Ky. She was the daughter of Sandra Watkins and Reece Oliver. She was lovingly raised by her grandmother Mrs. Wanda Clark.
She was a graduate of the University of Kentucky with a B.A. Degree in Social Work.
She had a great love for all kinds of music. Her favorite artist was Stevie Nicks along with Fleetwood Mac and Alicia Keys.
Shannon was a former employee of L.F.U.C.G. under the Mayoral administration of Pam Miller. She was part of the development, building and expansion of the Hope Center for Men.
She attended many services with the Church Under the Bridge where she felt the love of God through the people of God.
Besides her parents, Shannon is survived by the love of her life Billy Riggs, a son; Chandler Goode, a daughter; Catheline Stewart, two sisters Leann Watkins and Shawn Oliver, three brothers; Eddie Oliver, Sammie Oliver and Robin Oliver , an aunt; Billie Wells and host of relatives and friends.
Services were held at 2:30pm on December 28, 2015 at New Day Community Church, 530 N. Martin Luther King Blvd. in Lexington, KY, 40508.
