Mary Luella (Lue) Hope Fine
Graveside services for Luella Hope Fine, 85, of Hobbs, is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 28, at Prairie Haven Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Lott officiating.
Griffin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. today and 8-9 a.m. on Wednesday.
Mrs. Fine died Sunday, Feb. 25, in Hobbs.
She was born on April 11, 1915, in Fisher County, Texas, and married Edgar Allen Fine, Jr. on March, 2, 1936, in Borger, Texas.
Mrs. Fine was an active member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Ocotillo Women's Golf Association and several bridge clubs in the Lea County area.
She is survived by one son, Arthur Allen Fine of Albuquerque; two daughters, Patricia Luella Milliron Sterling of Hobbs and Virginia Bryan Choate of Abilene, Texas; one sister, Belva Crumbie of Dallas; nine grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Fine was preceded in death by her husband in 1987; one brother, Harold Hope, who was killed at Pearl Harbor; and one granddaughter, Leisa Luella Milliron.
