A native of Union, he was the son of Sara Dockery Pearson of Union and the late Franklin D. Pearson.
He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church and was a graduate of Union High School. He was employed as a correctional officer.
Surviving in addition to his wife and mother are a brother, Michael Pearson of Union.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Fairview Baptist Church, conducted by the Revs. Warren Jones, Clarence Crocker and Ricky Lancaster. Burial will be in Rosemont Cemetery. The body will remain at the funeral home, where the family will receive friends tonight from 7 to 9 and will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Friday to await the hour of service.
