Son of James E Claypool Sr FAG# 83254858 and Minnie A E Runyon FAG# 83255149. Brothers: James Jr 1943, Charles E 1945 FAG# 68988472. Danny L 1950. Sisters Shirley A 1946, Barbara S 1948.
He loved water and he fell head first into a 5 gal can of water that was only half full. His sister Barbara found him but she was only 4 1/2 years old and could not pull him out. She went back into the house and got her older brother Jimmy. He got him out. The can of water was on the back pouch and there was a hole in the screen, Kenny saw his mother put water into the can to get warm so she could mop the floors. Kenny was taking a nap with Barbara and after she fell asleep he got out of bed and went thru the hold and climbed into the can. Barbara woke up and Kenny was gone, she knew just where he may have went to. Jimmy was baby sitting and watching TV. Mother and other brother and sister had walked 2 blocks to the store. When Jimmy was trying to help him breathe Barbara ran for her mother. Their mother was in the field (short cut) coming home when Barbara found her and told her what happen. We got the neighbors to rush him and mother to the doctor 1/2 mile away, but he died in his mothers arms before they got to the doctor.
