Funeral services for Sgt. Clifton R. Corgan, 29, 506 S. Monroe, will be at Wilson Funeral Home and burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery with military rites. Sgt. Corgan died at 5:20 am August 10, 1964 in an evacuation hospital in Ascom, Korea of injuries sustained in a fall on Saturday, August 8. He had previously served with the paratroops in the European theatre and had served with the 8th U.S. Army Support Command in Korea since January, 1964.
He was born in Marion August 2, 1935 to Hubert and Lillie Wortham Corgan. He enlisted in the Army in 1952. In addition to his parents, he leaves three brothers; Ronald of Tempe, Arizona; James of Dublin, California; and William of Chicago; and two sisters; Mrs. Leslie (Doris) Sue Douglas of Karnak.
