Mrs. Mamie Lou Cash Allen, age 98 of Shelby, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Atrium Health in Charlotte.

Born November 7, 1919 in Chesnee, SC, Mamie Lou was the daughter of the late John Columbus Cash and Carrie Willingham Cash and was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Allen, a son, Wade Allen, a great grandson, Matt Gold, three brothers, Clyde Cash, Mozelle Cash, and Carlton Cash and a sister, Ethyleen Templeton.

Mamie Lou was a faithful Christian. She started at 2nd Baptist Church then later became a charter member at Lily Memorial Baptist Church where she was the church pianist and a Sunday school teacher. She later became a member at Westwood Heights Baptist Church where she was a member of the choir. Mamie Lou worked and retired from Lily Mills. She also worked at Alpha Mailing Services in Shelby. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, singing, and spending time with her family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 pm Wednesday, June 13, 2018 at Westwood Heights Baptist Church conducted by Rev. David Costner. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Cleveland Memorial Park.
