Roy H. Davis, Johnson native and lifelong resident of the area, died at the Pullman Convalescent Center where had had been a resident for about two months.

Davis was born July 15, 1897, four miles from Johnson and attended school there.

A Navy veteran of World War I, Davis married Gladys Truax on June 2, 1922. She died in 1978.

He is survived by a son, Jesse T. Davis of Pullman; a daughter, Jean Carol Davis of Kennewick; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are three half-brothers, Earl A. Davis of Wewoka, Okla, and James Vance Davis and WIlliam J Davis, both of Edinburg, Texas.

Davis was a 60 year member of the Johnson Grange and a charter member of the Johnson Union Warehouse Cooperative and the Pullman Grange Supply. He also belonged to the Moscow Elks and the Colton American Legion.
