Susan Joyce Parker, 75, of Shreve, Ohio, and formerly of Castalia, passed away Thursday morning, Jan. 24, 2013, in Pomerene Hospital, Millersburg, Ohio, after a period of declining health.
Services will take place at a later date. There will be no calling hours. Alexander Funeral Home Millersburg, is handling arrangements.
Susan was born March 21, 1937, in Dennison, Ohio. She was the daughter of Francis and Harriet (McNary) Bente. On July 28, 1957, she married James E. Parker and he preceded her in death on July 3, 1989.
Susan loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson and numerous friends. She loved traveling to Las Vegas.
The family sugests memorial contributions be made to Hospice & Palliative of Wayne & Holmes Counties, 2525 Back Orrville Road, Wooster, OH 44691.
Surviving are three children, Julie Kaiser, of Shreve, Jeffrey Paker and fiance Cindy Freeh, of Castalia, and James F. Parker of Wooster, Ohio; grandchildren, Patrick (Carla), Megan (Brandon), Haley, Kasey, Erin, Drew and Nichole; a great-grandson, Evan James; a brother, William Bente, of Dennison, Ohio; and a sister-in-law, Janet Bente of Scio, Ohio.
She was preceded by her parents and a brother, Delbert Bente
