Frances Louise Swanson Edmondson, 85, went to be with her Lord and Savior on September 8, 2006, after an extended illness. She was born June 16, 1921, in Fayette County. Living most of her life in the South Fulton County area, she and her family retired to a lakeside home in Middleburg, Florida in 1977. Being a compassionate and faithful caregiver of husband, James, she still found time for keeping a beautiful yard and enjoyed being with family and neighbors. She truly loved her home and the people that surrounded her with love. For many years Louise was an active member of The Rock Baptist Church and served as a Sunday School and VBS teacher, enriching the lives of many young children, a choir member, and a faithful follower, serving in any capacity as needed. Louise was always so gracious, never meeting a stranger, greeting everyone with a smile. Although throughout her life she had varying jobs, her main focus was to always put her family first. Louise will be greatly missed for her strong will and determination, caring ways, wonderful spirit and zest for life. Louise is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, James, her parents, Lizzie and Paul Swanson ,and brother, Paul Lewis Swanson. She is survived by a son, Jimmy (Shirley) Edmondson, Jr. of Douglasville, GA; a daughter Paula (Jimmy) Jordan of Jacksonville, FL; 3 grandchildren; Billy (Michelle) and Cathy Edmondson, and Kevin Jordan; 7 great-grandchildren, an only sister, Elizabeth Stephens, nieces, nephews and many friends.
