Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Ballard, 51, of Fall Lick Pike, wife of G. T. Ballard, died Monday morning at Ephraim McDowell Memorial Hospital, Danville. She had been ill for several years. She was a daughter of Sally Pointer Tankersley and the late Henry Tankersley and was a member of the Leavell Green Christian Church.
Survivors; besides her husband and mother, include three sons, Charles William Ballard, Compton; Jessie D. and Catlos Lynn Ballard, both of Garrard County; three brothers J. A. Tankersley, Bryantsville; C. W. Tankersley; Camp Campbell, and Nick Tankersley, Corbin; two sisters, Mrs. C. L. Ramsey; Bryantsville; and Mrs. Huston Palmer, Hamilton, Ohio.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Lancaster Cemetery conducted by the Rev. James L. Robinson. Pallbearers were Jimmy and Bobbie Miler, Edd, Harold, Carlos and J. K. Tankersley.
