Jacqueline Ellen (Triplett) Lomba

1974 – 2016

Jacqueline Ellen Lomba passed away at her home in Mojave, CA, on April 23, 2016. She was 42 years old.

Jackie was born April 12, 1974 in Los Angeles County California to Jimmy and Terri (Whitton) Triplett. She is the oldest of two daughters born to this marriage. The birth of her younger sister Kathleen, (Katie) almost gave Jackie a very special 3rd birthday gift. But Katie was instead born two days later on April 14, 1977. Jackie and Katie were close sisters and friends during their childhood.

After the divorce of their parents , Jackie and Katie moved with their mom to Bodfish Calif. in Kern County.

Jackie always enjoyed sports and outdoor activities. She was a talented athlete. During her school years she was on the track team and loved playing softball. She was on the varsity softball team all 4 years in high school.

When it came to family, for Jackie the words "step" or "half" did not exist. Family was family. In 1981 Jimmy married Lori Carano. Lori has two daughters from a previous marriage, Jamie and Holli. But from the start they were all family, Not step, but Dad, Mom and sisters. Feb. 1985 brother Killian was born. July 1987 sister Sarah was born. Again no half, just brother and sister.

In 1994 at the age of 20, Jackie enlisted in the Navy. She was interested in writing. During her time in the Navy she enrolled in journalism courses. She was medically discharged from the Navy 6 months shy of completing her 3 year enlistment due to a respiratory condition.

Jackie was a very loving person. She loved love. Being in love and loving others. She was married 3 times. Her first husband was her high school boyfriend Bobby Russell. They married soon after graduating from high school. This marriage only lasted a short time as both realized neither one was ready for that kind of commitment. Her second husband was William "Billy" Raybuck ,married in 1995. Jackie and Billy met while both were in the Navy. During this marriage two daughters were born, Kaitlyn, born Aug. 1995 and Kayla born 1996. Although Jackie and Billy went their separate ways a couple years later Jackie was thankful that from this marriage came two wonderful daughters. In 2000 Jackie met Tim Lomba. In 2001 son Cameron was born. Then in 2005 Jackie's last child, a daughter, Kiera was born. Jackie loved being a mom to her kids. Jackie was a fun loving mom. Being Mom was the role/ title she cherished the most. To her kids, their friends and whole family she was a jokester and good story teller. She loved to have fun.

Jackie did have struggles and short comings through out her adult life. She didn't always make smart choices. She didn't"t always see or have complete control over some of her actions or abuses to herself that also affected those around her. Sadly Jackie's mom Terri died in 2001 at age 46 dealing with those same types of bad choices and abuses for many years.

Jackie loved music. She was known to dance around the house with her children rocking out to whatever music was playing. Two of her favorite musical artists were The Beatles and Prince.

Jackie was greatly saddened at the sudden death of Prince. Her daughter Kaitlyn spoke of the both of them on the phone to each other on the day of his death crying about the lost of a great talent and how much they both enjoyed his music. Not knowing at that time, that two days later her family and friends would feel such grief and devastation from her own death.

Jackie died in her sleep.

Jackie was given a military funeral, and military escort to her final resting place.

"Golden slumbers fill your eyes.

smiles await you when you rise

sleep pretty darling

do not cry

And I will sing a lullaby."
