The International Council of The Museum of Modern Art is saddened to learn of the passing of Hope Gimbel Solinger, who died peacefully at home on March 6, at age 101. A member of the Council since 1975, Hope was a spirited and valued member. She and her beloved twin sister Caral Gimbel Lebworth were frequent and generous participants in Council activities and travels. Hope will be fondly remembered by her Council friends from all over the world. Our deepest sympathies are extended to her daughters Faith Sommerfield and Lynn Stern, and to her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
