Marjorie L. Williams age 94, of Irish Hills, MI, passed away May 28, 2016. She was born August 31, 1921, in Iola, Kansas, the daughter of George & Minnie (Perkins) Lederer. She attended and graduated from Davis Business School from 1939 to 1940. She went on to work for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, Toledo, Ohio. On September 14, 1940, she married Gene Williams, he preceded her in death. She was a Past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star in Allen Park, MI. She and her husband traveled extensively in the United States and around the world. She is survived by her two sons; Tom (Pat) Williams of Grosse Ile, MI and Jerry (Rae) Williams of Pinebluff, NC, five grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Gene, she was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and one brother.
Visitation will be on Wednesday June 8, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the funeral home. Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, June 9, 2016, at J. Gilbert Purse Funeral Home, 2959 N. Adrian Hwy (M-52) Adrian, MI, with Rev. Lloyd Jewett officiating. Burial will follow in Lenawee Hills Memorial Gardens, Tecumseh, MI.
