Don Vaughn, 52, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, June 1, 2016.

Don was born on December 1, 1963 in Rochester, Pennsylvania. With great pride and honor he joined the United States Air Force where he received numerous medals and achievements, including: the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal. Don retired with the rank of Master Sergeant after 33 years of service. Following his retirement, he enjoyed watching sports and spending time with his beloved family.

His memory will forever be treasured by his loving wife, Leigh Vaughn; daughters, Leisa, Megan, and Erin Vaughn, all of Warner Robins; parents, Donald, Sr. and Bobbie Sue Vaughn; sister, Nicki Nash (Bob) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; niece, Kristen Esget; nephew, Michael Nash; mother and father–in-law, Gerald and Jean Josey; brother-in-law, Joseph Josey; and aunt, Leola James, all of Huger, South Carolina.

Visitation with Don's family will be Monday, June 6, 2016 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of McCullough. After the service, Don will be laid to rest in Magnolia Park Cemetery with full military honors.
