WINNECONNE - George G. Abendroth, 89, of 546 Prospect St., died at 11 a.m. Thursday in Mercy Medical Center, Oshkosh, after a short illness.

He was born July 14, 1890, the son of Gustave and Amanda Bartlet Abendroth, and farmed with his parents in the town of Winneconne until 1927. He was married to .Virginia Whitpan, Feb. 12, 1927, in Oshkosh.

Mr. Abendroth was employed by Fahrney's Farms, Oshkosh, until 1933, when he moved to Winneconne. He was employed by A&P Whitehouse Milkhouse Co. from 1933 until his retirement in 1955. He was a member of St Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church. .

Surviving are his widow; two sons, George H. and Robert F. both of Winneconne; one daughter, Mrs. Olin (Sondra) Soderlin, Oshkosh; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church, the Rev. John Hoenecke officiating. Interment will be in Lake View Memorial Park, Oshkosh, Friends may call at Mueller Funeral Home, Winneconne, after 4 p.m. Sunday, until 11 a.m. Monday, and then at the church from noon until the time of services.
