Janice Louise Boehnlein, 62, of Milton, KY, died on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at the Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville, IN.

She was born on May 14, 1954 in Louisville, Jefferson County, KY, the daughter of the late Connie Bates and Annie Kathleen Wakeland Bates. She was a graduate of Ahrens Trade High School in Louisville, KY. She was retired from the Central State Hospital in Louisville, KY, as a Activity Therapist. She was a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter Day Saints in Carrollton, KY.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Joseph Boehnlein, Sr. of Milton, KY, a daughter, Kathleen Louise Foster (Husband Danny) of Madison, IN, three sisters, Susan Kurzi of Lousiville, KY, Yolanda Kathleen Setaccioli of Louisville, KY, and Pamela Yvonne Gilbert of Auburn, GA, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Leslie Renee' Luckett on May 31, 2015, a son, Kenneth Joseph "Joey" Boehnlein, Jr. on July 12, 2010, two brothers, Larry Wayne Bates and Ronald Anthony Bates.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the American Cancer Society in care of the funeral home.

Janice Louise Boehnlein, 62, of Milton, Ky., died Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at Kentuckiana Medical Center in Clarksville.

She was born May 14, 1954, in Louisville, Ky., to Connie and Annie Kathleen Wakeland Bates. She was a graduate of Ahrens Trade High School in Louisville, Ky. She retired as an activity therapist from Central State Hospital in Louisville, Ky. She was a member of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints in Carrollton, Ky.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Joseph Boehnlein Sr.; one daughter, Kathleen Louise Foster of Madison; three sisters, Susan Kurzi and Yolanda Kathleen Setaccioli, both of Louisville, Ky., and Pamela Yvonne Gilbert of Auburn, Ga.; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Leslie Reneé Luckett, who died May 31, 2015; one son, Kenneth Joseph “Joey” Boehnlein Jr., who died July 12, 2010; her parents; and two brothers, Larry Wayne Bates and Ronald Anthony Bates.

The funeral will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, Ky. A graveside service and burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Highland Memory Gardens in Mount Washington, Ky.

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 3 p.m. until the service.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society. Contributions can be made through the funeral home.
