Jimmie Lee Vallance, 73, of Kitts Hill, Ohio passed away Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at Hospice Care Center in Ashland, KY. The Muncie, Indiana native was born November 24, 1942, a son of the late Elza and Flossie Collins Vallance. He is survived by his wife, Linda Harper Vallance, whom he married July 28, 1967.
Mr. Vallance attended Green High School and was a former operator for the Ohio Operating Engineers Union for 35 years. He was also of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by:
two brothers: Clarence Vallance and Donald Ray Vallance
two sisters: Mary Ruth Turner and Cledith Strahand
Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Sugar Creek Cemetery with the Rev. Homer Campbell officiating. There will be no public visitation and Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, Ohio is assisting the family with the arrangements.
