Services for J. W. McKenzie, 86, of Water Valley, will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Brown Funeral Home, Mayfield, KY. The Revs. Gayle Barnes and Larry McClure will officiate. Burial will be in Camp Beauregard Cemetery.
Mr. McKenzie died at 9:35 p.m. Sunday at Weakley County Nursing Home in Dresden, TN.
He was a retired plumber and electrician and a member of Water Valley Pentecostal Tabernacle and Water Valley Masonic Lodge No. 756.
Surviving are his wife, Evalynn Johnson McKenzie; a daughter, Ludella Webb of Water Valley; two sons, Donald (Evelyn) McKenzie of Ft. Worth, TX and Jerrial Wayne (Cheryl) McKenzie of Water Valley; one sister, Nell Lowry of Wamego, KS; one brother, Jessie Howard McKenzie of Montgomery City, MO; six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Kennith Dale McKenzie; one brother, Lois H McKenzie; and his parents Jessie and Idella Smith McKenzie.
Friends may call at the funeral home at 5 pm today, with Masonic rites conducted at 7 pm.
