She was the former owner of Causey’s Childcare Center in Baton Rouge.
She is survived by her children, Daryl Causey, Sr and wife, Kathy and Carol Ann (Cannon) Kyes and husband, Wedge, Jr. 4 grandchildren, Daryl, Jr. and Zachary Causey and Daryl “Tommy” and Geoffrey Cannon.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Ira Lester Causey, her parents, Arthur and Jennie Kirkwood, 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
She was a member of First Baptist Church of Denham Springs and was the first Kindergarten teacher in Baton Rouge.
