Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, August 2, 2007 at Steens Funeral Home, Greenfield, IA. A local Celebration of Life Service for family and friends will be Sunday August 5, 2007 at the Hills Community Center, Hills, IA from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Karen is survived by her husband, Ray A. Hartsook; her children, Tonya (Gary) Simpson of Riverside, IA, Tyler (Donna) Watkinson of Marengo, IA, and Tamra Watkinson (Justin Howe) of Oxford, IA; 5 grandchildren, Ethan, Olivia, Hannah, Gracelyn, and Kevin; two sisters, Kathy (Kenny) Hedges-Kane of Lone Tree, IA and Kris Hedges of Iowa City, IA; three nephews, Jeffrey, Justin, and Keaton; and one niece, Kaycee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Marilyn (Hurt) Hedges; an infant daughter, Marie Watkinson; and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
