Martin A. Conroy
Last Thursday, after a very brief illness, Martin A. Conroy died at his residence, No 102 Skillman Street of enlargment of the brain. He recently returned from Montreal, Canada, where he had been studying for the priesthood. His eyesight failed him, and he was advised to return to his home where it was thought rest would relieve him. He appeared to be enjoying excellent health, and no apprehension was felt for him when he was overtaken with the sickness that carried him off. Last Tuesday he attended and took part in a requiem mass in St. Patrick's Church on Kent Avenue as master of ceremonies. He was only 22 years of age, and gave promise of being quite a brilliant clergyman. He will be buried from St. Patrick's Church tomorrow.
