Mary Catherine Myatt Bryk was born June 6, 1913 in Charleston, Charleston County, South Carolina, the first of four children of Edward Clifton Myatt, Sr. and Elizabeth Mary Ellsworth Myatt. On October 23, 1934 she married Joseph Michael Bryk in Croton-on-Hudson, Westchester County, New York, and they had three children: Marianne Bryk Pendzuk, Barbara Bryk Tuttle, and Michael Bryk. Mary passed away at age 60 on January 22, 1974 in Valhalla, Westchester County, New York and is buried next to her husband at Bethel Cemetery in Croton-on-Hudson.
