Schaerges, Betty Jean (nee Vossler), passed peacefully into the arms of the Lord Jesus Christ, surrounded by her family, on November 26, 2016. Survived by her loving husband, Herbert L. Schaerges, Betty was devoted mother of Sandra Budd, Susan Burroughs and Robert Schaerges, 10 grandchildren and 5 great- grandchildren. Betty was born in Lockland, Ohio to Jewell and Clifford Vossler on February 14, 1930, and was sister to the late Donald Vossler. Betty attended Lockland High School and married her childhood sweetheart, Herbert, on January 21, 1950. Betty and Herb have been residents of the Village of Evendale since 1959. She was a long time member of Reading Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. Betty enjoyed bowling and golfing but, most of all, time with family. Friends are invited to a memorial service to be held at Hodapp Funeral Home, 8815 Cincinnati-Columbus Rd. in West Chester on Thursday, December 1. Visitation will start at 10 AM followed by a memorial service at 11 with burial services to follow immediately after at Spring Grove Cemetery.
