He actually past away at home in Kinneville, Ingham County, Michigan while surrounded by his loving family.

Charles, 67, (Jack) of Eaton Rapids, Michigan, passed away at home on Sunday, December 11, 2016, surrounded by his family. He was born on August 29, 1949, in Hickory Ridge, Arkansas, the son of Willie and Julia (Folk) Catt.

He had lived in the area for the past 36 years, coming from Stockbridge. Jack worked as a seasonal farm worker for Black Hawk Produce for many years until his recent illness which caused him to retire. He loved to hunt, fish, and hang out at the Wheel Inn Campground with family and friends. He also loved bluegrass and old country music and Western TV shows. His greatest accomplishment in life was his family.

He was preceded in death by his loving companion of 47 years, Lectie Rudd, on May 8, 2015; his brother Danny Catt; his sister Wanda Stephens; his parents; his step-daughter Linda Catt; and two grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter Tricha Ann (Lee) Scott of Indiana; six step-children: Brenda Rudd of Leslie, Judy (Delmar) Hackworth of Bunker Hill, Jimmy Rudd of Eaton Rapids, Pamela McMillen of Bunker Hill, Lisa (James) Shaneyfelt of Eaton Rapids, and Roger Rudd (Joe Hann) of the U.P.; 17 grandchildren, 36 great-grand children, and 6 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He also leaves behind two special fur-babies, Bo and Gizmo. He had a special place in all of our hearts and will be missed dearly.

A Funeral Service was held on Friday,December 16, 2016, at the Caskey-Mitchell Funeral Home, Stockbridge, with Pastor Bob Castle officiating. Burial followed at Oaklawn Cemetery, Stockbridge.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
