Arlene Cleo Heller, 93, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Pinnacle Specialty Care in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

A visitation will be held on Monday, January 30th from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home in Grundy Center. A graveside service will immediately follow at the Rosehill Cemetery in Grundy Center.

Arlene was born on August 12, 1923 in rural Reinbeck, Iowa, the daughter of Roscoe & Alma (Wagner) Hall. She attended school in Reinbeck and graduated with the class of 1940. On November 23, 1942, Arlene was united in marriage to Richard Heller in Bethany, Missouri. While he husband was away in the service, Arlene worked for the United States government as a selective service worker. She retired in 1974, after 20 years of service.

Her hobbies included bowling, dancing, crocheting and sewing. Arlene was a loving and caring mother, who doted on her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by those she leaves behind.

Arlene is survived by her son Jerry (Linda) Heller of Allison, IA and daughter Becky (Randy) Amos of Waterloo; 2 grandchildren Daryn and Jerry Joe (Ashley) Chase and 10 great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Rachel Heller of Grundy Center and brother-in-law Marvin Heller of Colorado.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Richard; 4 brothers and 1 sister.
