Lucy Lucille (Nytes) Schipper-Gilsdorf, age 81, of Chilton passed away peacefully on January 29, 2017. Lucy was born to the late Walter and Margaret Nytes on April 11, 1935. She was united in marriage to Delmar Schipper at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sheboygan Falls on April 3, 1954. Delmar preceded Lucy in death. Lucy was later married to Richard Gilsdorf at St. Mary's in Sheboygan Falls on November 9, 1985. Lucy worked at Lakeland Leather Products, Tolibia Cheese and at Pine Haven. Her two favorite things were camping and casinos. Lucy also enjoyed many road trips.

Lucy is survived by her children, Michael (Lori) Schipper of Cascade, Robert (Alice) Schipper of Brillion, Jennie (Mitch) Meyer of Chilton, Gerard (Linda) Gilsdorf of Sheboygan Falls and John (Karen) Gilsdorf of Sheboygan Falls; 16 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; siblings, Walter Nytes, Jr. of Sheboygan, Ernest (Sherri) Nytes of Plymouth, Rosie (Harold) Whipple of Sheboygan, Donna (Greg) Blanke of Sheboygan Falls and sister-in-law, Sr. Marita Gilsdorf of Sherwood.

Lucy was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Delmar Schipper; second husband, Richard Gilsdorf; step-son, Thomas Gilsdorf; stepdaughter, Marian Gilsdorf; sisters, Lorraine Brown and Carol Knepprath and two infant brothers.

There will be a memorial service for Lucy on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12th St., Sheboygan, with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will occur at a later date.
