She was the daughter of Harold L. and Esta E. (Fisher) Baker. She married twice and survived both husbands. On Jan 1, 1943, she married Lyndel Piper, and in May, 1987, she married Willard R. Stoner.
Surviving are a daughter, Lynda (Forest) Yocum, Baltimore; a son, Tom (Cindy), Celina; and four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

A homemaker, she attended Celina High school, then transferred to Neptune High School where she graduated as Valedictorian of her class. She had worked at Celina Insurance Group, National Finance and JC Penney, all Celina. For many years, she was the office manager and trip coordinator for Mercer County Council on Aging - Senior Citizens. A lifelong member of St. Paul's Grand Lake United Methodist Church, she was an active volunteer with various church activities. She both attended and taught Bible study groups at the church. She also was a member of the Shakespeare Club, Celina. Her favorite pastimes were crocheting, gardening, and tending to her plants. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her family.
Services will be at Grand Lake United Methodist Church (St. Paul's - Celina), with Rev. Diane Mendelson officiating.
