Caroline H. Aloisio, 66, of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2017 at Presence Mercy Medical Center after a brief, courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born June 1, 1950, the daughter of Sylvester and Ruth Latino.

Carol was the heart and soul of her family. Her motto was always "faith and family." They came first above all else. She never missed a school event, party, and above all, a ballgame that one of her grandchildren was playing. She was devoted to her loving husband, Bob, and that love was celebrated in September as they shared 50 special years together. (8/26/66) She was inseparable from her mother Ruth, her constant inspiration and best friend. She lived for dinners, vacations, and get togethers with her family. Carol's faith in God was never ending as she taught Religious Education for many years. God was the center of her life, and she gave to others endlessly. She never said 'no' to anyone, and never expected anything in return. Her smile was contagious and her goofiness brought many laughs to us all. We'll always remember and never forget…NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE.

Survivors include her mother, Ruth (Jones) Latino; husband of 50 years, Robert Aloisio; children, Gina (Chris) Dickerson and Robert (Bridget) Aloisio, Jr.; sister, Deborah (Latino) Rodgers; grandchildren, Amanda (Thomas) Catomer, Luke Dickerson, Julia Dickerson, Adam Dickerson, Justin Aloisio, Zachary Aloisio, Kyle Aloisio, and Kara Aloisio; great-grandchild, Kaylyn Catomer; many special nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded by her father, Sylvester "Sam" Latino.

Carol's family would like to thank all the medical staff at Rush-Copley Medical Center, Presence Mercy Medical Center, and especially Rainbow Hospice.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 30, 2017 from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM, with a wake service at 5:00 PM, at THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY, 220 N. Lake Street, Aurora, IL 60506. (630) 631-5500.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from THE DALEIDEN MORTUARY at 9:30 AM to St. Joseph Church, 722 High Street, Aurora at 10:00 AM. Fr. Jerome Leake and Fr. Dan Peters will officiate with interment to follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
