Courtenay married Lamont W. Marvin 2 Sep 1921 at Washington, DC, USA. Ms. Courtenay (“Court”) Washington Davidge, b. 3 Sep 1896 in Virginia, USA, d. 22 Mar 1963 in New York, USA. The couple has two sons, the eldest Robert and Lee the younger, her sons evidently named in honorable memory of her distant maternal cousin CSA Commanding General Robert E. Lee. Courtenay is the daughter of the late Mr. William Fendall Davidge (1871 – 1941) and Ms. Estelle Courtenay Washington (1875 – 1942), and the mother of famed Oscar-winning actor Lee Marvin. Her internment site is presently not known, but presumed to be this cemetery or Woodstock Artist Cemetery, no records are presently known regarding burial.
