Virgil Carl Rice, 87, died Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at his home in rural Stafford. Born March 19, 1929 at Hudson he was the son of Charlie and Bertha Augusta Ukens Rice. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving with the US Army. On February 17, 1951 he married Eunice Adell Heyen at Stafford. He is survived by his wife, Eunice. Son: David Rice. Daughters: Betty Pepetone and Cynthia Rice. Six grandchildren. Five great grandsons.
He was preceded in death by granddaughter: Karlee Adell Taton and five siblings.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 19, 2017 at the First Christian Church, Stafford. Burial will be at the Stafford Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 1-7 p.m. with the family receiving friends 5-7 p.m. at Minnis Chapel, Stafford.
