Frances “Dutchie” E. Brewer, 81, of Rising Sun, MD, passed away Monday, May 25, 2009, at Life Care Hospital, West Chester.
She was the wife of the late Talmadge C. Brewer, who entered into rest in 1997.
Born in Clifton, NC she was the daughter of the late Robey and Bessie Jones Ward.
Dutchie has been a resident of Rising Sun for the past 35 years and was employed with the Oxford Cabinet Mill and local mushroom farms.
She is survived by her four children, Charles W. Brewer of Charlestown, MD, Clifford L. Brewer and his wife, Evelyn of Creston, NC, Randal C. Brewer of Rising Sun, MD and Sandra L. Reese and her husband, Kevin of Windsor, PA; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Opal Wyatt of Troutdale, VA, Mary Turner of West Jefferson, NC and Anna Ward of Nottingham, PA.
A funeral service was held at 10 a.m. on Friday, May 29, at the Edward L. Collins Funeral Home, Inc., 86 Pine St. Oxford, where friends called from 9-10 a.m.
Interment was in the Oxford Cemetery.
