Steven "Salty" Raymond Dalton age 63 of Fairfield passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Sunnybrook Living Care Center.
Visitation for family & friends will be 10:00 am – 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Behner Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at Behner Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Cary officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Lawn, Fairfield, IA.

Steven was born March 11, 1954 to Basil and Frances (Mitchell) Dalton in Iowa City, IA. He married Gloria Van Der Snick June 5, 1992 in Brighton, IA. She passed away June 30, 2010.
Steven lived most of his life in the Brighton area. He worked at Utopia Park for 20 years in the maintenance department. Steven enjoyed watching NASCAR racing and at one time drove a stock car. He loved the outdoors. Most of all he loved and missed his wife, Gloria and loved her two daughters, Shannon and Shelly, as if they were his own.
He is survived by Gloria's daughters, Shannon and Shelly Hinkle of Fairfield, his mother, Frances Lowe of Fairfield, IA; one sister, Diana (Keith) Hill of Brighton, IA; and one step brother, Roy "Pep" Lowe Jr. of Wayland, IA.
Steven was preceded in death by his dad, Basil Dalton, step dad, Roy Lowe; and his wife, Gloria.
