Actress. Born Joanne E. Moriarty, popular Hollywood player Jan Moriarty of the early 1960s, appeared in both feature films and TV series, like Paul Newman's 1963's "A New Kind of Love", and TV's "Dr. Kildare", as well as half dozen other screen efforts of her young career. On January 11, 1964 Jan Moriarty married fellow young actor Michael Parks (1940-2017), but sadly just 8 weeks later Moriarty was found dead in their apartment, victim of a suicide overdose. She was only 24.
