Charles T Olson "AKA" Carl was born in 1866 in Wittsjo Kristiansted, Sweden to Nilsson "Ola" Olson and Johanna Troedsdotter.

Charles came to America in 1886 to Boston Massachusetts. He was 20 years old. He followed two of his brothers here, Johannes ( John) and brother Nilsson ( Nils) and they settled in Brocton Massachusetts where Charles lived, worked , married and raised his family. He was a resident of Brocton for 57 years.

Charles became a naturalized citizen in Oct 1893.
Charles married Mathtilda Carlson in June of 1890. They had four sons and a daughter.

Carl H. 1897-1909 ( Died from Typhoid Fever at age 12).
Ingeborg Mathtilda ( AKA Miriam or Marian). (died 17 months old from Dysentery)
Emil F. 1899-1918 ( died age 19 from Pneumonia).

Charles occupation was a builder and Architect. His Business was called "Olson Bros". He worked along side brother Johanne( John), who later moved to New York with his wife and children. Nephew Joel Olson (son of Nilsson Nils)Olson came to work alongside Charles. Charles built a successful architecture business having built many homes and businesses in Brocton.

Charles loved the city of Brocton and resided there until his death at age 74. Appears from death records that nephew Joel at some point had returned to Sweden.

Unfortunately in the mid 1930's, Charles and Mathtilda separated, but never divorced and in 1940 after Charles death Mathtilda was admitted to Taunton State Mental Hospital for the insane where she remained until her death in 1945.

Charles doesn't have a headstone. There are 6 missing headstones in a row, but his grave spot #1257 it is 2 spots to the left of headstone "Mother" plot # 1255. The far left stone in the row is 1262.
