Bartlett ( Bart) Paine Guild was born in Crete Nebraska in 1892 to Lewis Thurber Paine 1864-1943 and Ruth E. Thomas 1858-1955. He was the third of four children, two brothers and one older sister.
Bart was in both World War I & II.
When Bart was 27 years old he married his first wife, Ann McCabe 1892-1954. Census shows that in the 1940's he was an executive ( not sure what company he worked for). He was widowed in 1954. He remain single until he met my Aunt Jene 1918-1983. He and Aunt Jene married in Las Vegas in June of 1972.
Bart never had any children from his first marriage but my aunt had three teenage children that he loved and supported as his own.
I used to love spending the weekends with my aunt and uncle, I got spoiled rotten! Such happy memories spending time with them.
Bart and Aunt Jene owned and operated a Health Food store in Monrovia California until Uncle Bart passed away in 1980 at age 88.
Uncle Bart was the best! He was generous and very kind and he was a well respected business owner and friend in his community.
