Mary Jane Cheesman, 77, of San Angelo, passed away on June 22, 2017. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday, June 25, 2017, at the funeral home. Services will be at 2 p.m., Monday, June 26, 2017, at Full Gospel Assembly Church with Dr. Dan Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Belvedere Memorial Park.

Mary was born in Menard, Texas, to the late John and Lily Cheesman, and was the eighth of twelve siblings. Mary attended Lake View High School and later received her LVN from San Angelo Nursing School in the early 70s. She will be remembered as an active member of the local church, Full Gospel Assembly, for being a strong woman of faith, and for having a kind and giving heart. Her selfless nature and intentional expression of love for family and friends will not soon be forgotten.

She was preceded in death by her sisters: Ruby, Katy, Johnny, Jean, Claire, and Martha; and brothers: Norman, Jimmy, and Larry Cheesman.

Mary is survived by her son, Jay Dale Merrill and his wife, Christy; daughter, Lisa Lynette Jones and her husband, Duane; grandchildren: Jacob Jones and his wife, Morgan, BreAnna Merrill, and Anthony Jones; great-grandchild, Tate Jones; her brother, Reverend Joe Cheesman and his wife, Shirley; sister, Irene Cheesman; other relatives and many friends.
