New information...The 1880 census shows Mary A. Bell b. 1839. The 1870 census shows Mary A. Bell b. 1821. This is an 18 year difference. With Oliver Morton Bell being the youngest child, age 2 and Josina was an infant born 14 Nov. 1870. Mary Arnett Bell would have been 45 when Josina was born, so embarrassing?
Did Mary Elizabeth Arnett change her age by 18 years because of two young children or did Mary Elizabeth Arnett die and Uriah remarry a Mary Wood? The death certificate of Josena Bell states that her mother was Mary Wood (Not Elizabeth Wood). The latter would seem to be the possible but it is also possible that Josina and Oliver did not know their mother's maiden name since she died when they were young. They likely confused the name Mary Wood from their paternal great grandmother, Margaret Wood.
Since there is no prior death record for Mary Elizabeth Arnett or subsequent marriage record to a Mary Wood and the names are identical with middle initial A. for Arnett in the censuses, I am concluding that it is Mary Elizabeth Arnett buried with her husband, Uriah Bell in this grave.
