Henry Collins, 59, of Davy died Saturday in a Welch hospital after a long illness. He was born in Fayette County and was a son of the late Bent [Bert] Collins.

Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Demmie Kelly of Keith; his wife, Mrs. Nannie Gillespie Collins of the home; four daughters, Mrs. Calie (Edna) Woods of Carey, OH, Mrs. Donald (Mary) Sweigard of [Upper] Sandusky, OH, Mrs. Dan (Mildred) Shields of Upper Sandusky, OH and Mrs. Jay (Demmie) Davis of Flint, MI; three sons Henry Collins of San Bernardino, Calif., with the United States Air Force, George Collins of Jacksonville, FL with the United Stated Navy and Marvin Collins of Carey, Ohio; four brothers, Ernest, Frank and Freddie Collins of Keith and Woodrow Collins of Seth' seven sisters, Mrs. Mason Millins of Whiteville, Mrs. Charles Holmes of Ft. Wayne, In, Mrs. John Looney of Davy, Mrs. Bruce Graybill of Whiteville, Mrs. James Carr of Charleston, Mrs. Foster Baker of Charleston, and Mrs. Josephine Christian of Charleston, 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday at 2pm at the Freewill Baptist Church at Big Jenny with Rev. Jackie Hamilton officiating. Burial will follow in Big Jenny Cemetery in Big Jenny.

The body will be taken to the church one hour prior to services.

Friends may call at the Fanning Funeral Home in Welch, Monday between 5 and 9pm
