Robert Edward Anderson born August 16, 1919 in Emery, Utah passed away March 12th at the Emery County Nursing Home from Alzheimer's disease. He Married Erma Olene Mortensen March 22, 1940 in the Manti, Temple. Robert served in the World War II as a gunner in the Navy. He was a true cowboy and cow man who spent his entire life ranching. He also drove the school bus for several years as well as working at the Browning Coal mine. He was known for breeding and training good horses including cutting horses which he was very successful. He was still riding and roping at the age 85. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Erma Olene, his two sons and daughter-in-laws Randy (Shelia) Emery, Kerry (Janet) West Jordan, brother Dwaine (Luella) Emery, sister Bessie Christman, Price, eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur M. Anderson, Virtue Anderson, Son Eddie and brothers and sisters, Elmo, Melburn, Lyle, Bertha, and Bonnie. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 15th 2007 at 12:00 noon at the Emery LDS Chapel. Viewing will be held Wednesday from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary (710 North Center) Castle Dale, and Thursday 10:00- 11:45 a.m. prior to the services at the Chapel. Interment will be in the Emery City Cemetery, under the direction of Fausett Mortuary. "Ride on Dad, we will catch up later."
