Raymond Oliver Brewster, 98, Butler, MO, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Adrian Manor, Adrian, MO.

A visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 pm on Friday, August 14, 2020 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Adrian.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 15, at Sharon Cemetery, Drexel, MO. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Good Shepherd Hospice or Adrian Manor.

Raymond was born March 7, 1922 in Kansas City, KS, the oldest of 10 children born to James Oliver and Pearl Eleanor (Gravatt) Brewster.

He was a graduate of Merwin High School. Raymond married Nona Belle Elliott on April 29, 1943 in Pleasant Hill, MO. He had lived in Merwin, Drexel, and Kansas City, MO before moving to Butler in 1991.

He was a U. S. Army Air Corp WWII Veteran. Raymond was proud of the fact that he had circled the world while in the military. Raymond was a Quality Control Inspector for Pittman Manufacturing Co. in Grandview and later for Bendix Corporation in Kansas City, MO. He was a Past Master of the Coldwater Masonic Lodge in Drexel.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Nona Belle on September 30, 2012.

He is survived by two sons, Bob Brewster (Barbara), Adrian, MO and Ron Brewster (Lois), Shawano, WI; one brother, Earl Brewster (Jeanie), Adrian; one sister, Elsie Harris, Fayetteville, MO; sisters-in-law, Irene Welliver, Amsterdam, MO, Norma Lee Brewster, Pleasant Hill, MO, Judy Brewster, Overland Park, KS, and Eleanor Hessenflow, Harrison, AR; two brothers-in-law, Asa Bennett, Harrisonville, MO and Kenneth Musick, Drexel, MO; 6 grandchildren, Bobby Brewster (Krista), Adrian, Stacey Maher (Jason), Adrian, Heather Vaughan (Joe), Oklahoma City, OK, Jeremy Brewster, Adrian, Anna Brewster and Mary Brewster, both of Chicago, IL; 11 great-grandchildren, Zachary, Collin, Alex, Taylor, Serenity, McKinley, Ryan, Eli, Kael, Cooper and Danyelle, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Brylee Kay and Ava Marie.
