BACKUS -- Curtis C. Kenly, 74, Backus, died Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002, at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis, Ft Snelling.
He was born March 10, 1928, in Tracy to Clarence and May Kenly. He graduated from Tracy High School. After high school graduation, he served in the Army Air Corps from 1945-1947 and the Air Force from 1947-1973. He retired as a Senior Master Sergeant in 1973 and moved to Backus, MN. He served in the Minuteman Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) system program, the nation's land-based nuclear deterrent.
Survivors include a son, Richard Curtis Kenly, Backus.
A memorial service will be 3-6 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Foothills Restaurant and Saloon in Backus.
Arrangements are with McNearney Funeral Home in Shakopee.
