Stanley joined the Marine Corps early during the Viet Nam conflict. Afterwards he pursued a career of a millwright for over thirty years. One of his great passions, akin to being an avid outdoorsman, was being a HAM radio operator. Ordained as a minister into Christian Church, Stanley was instrumental in the founding of Coulter's Mill Bible Fellowship, a state wide jail/prison ministry. He attended Salt Creek Church in rural Watson, and filled in as an evangelist at several area churches.
Stanley is survived by his wife Myra Wilber of Watson; Brother , Don Wilber of Bloomington; 4 nephews and four nieces.
He was proceeded in death by his parents.
