Graveside services for Eddie George Hodge, 81, will be 4 p.m. Monday at Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Griffin-Hillcrest Funeral Home.

Born Oct. 7, 1925 at Konawa to Thomas and Rut Ann Schornick Hodge, he died March 29, 2007 at the Ardmore veterans center. He married Katheryne L. Hayhurst July 7, 1948 at Gainesville, Texas. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by a son, George Hodge, grandson, Kraig Hodge and son-in-law, Eddie Bray.

He was a rancher and a farmer all of his life. He and his wife, Katheryne, made their home at Lone Grove. Ed retired from the Ardmore refinery.

He loved growing a garden and sharing it will all his friends and neighbors. He never met a stranger. Everyone was a friend to him.

We want to give a special thank you to all of the veterans center nurses and staff for taking such good care of our Dad.

Survivors include, a son, Danny Hodge and his wife, Treasa, Lone Grove; two daughters, Linda Bray, Lone Grove and Patty Lucas, Lone Grove, four granddaughters; six grandsons; and eight great-grandchildren.

Bearers are Jason Hodge, Cory Hodge, Kevin Hodge, Trey Rushing, Michael Lucas, Michael Morse Jr. and Joe Good.
