Miss Mabel Ueland married Horace French in November of 1928 in Greer County.

Services for Mrs. Mabel French, 86, were held at the Church of Christ in Guymon. She was an honor graduate of Warren Hospital in 1925, when the hospital was associated with the University of Minnesota. A resident of Hutchinson since 1987, moving from Goodwell, she was a former supervisor of the Veterans Hospital and superintendent of the Crippled Children's Convalescent Hospital, both in the Oklahoma City area. She served as director at the School of Nursing in Mangum and was director of student health at Harding College in Searcy, Arkansas until 1965 when she became director of student health at Panhandle State University. She retired in 1982.

Mrs. French was a member of the Church of Christ and the American Nurses Association.

Survived by two daughters - Freddie Bradley and Beth Kammerer; one brother - Norman Ueland; three sisters - Carrie Cullender, Ruth Ekman, Lorraince Tilley; five grandchildren.
