She was a female orange homeless cat that I adopted and named Buzzie Belle.
We became acquainted one day while I sat on the stairs at the apartment complex I lived at the time.
I was waiting for the bus and got on when it arrived. When I came back and walked upstairs about to unlock my door, she ran halfway up the stairs then stopped when she saw me looking at her.
I brought her in but our time together was short. Apparently she was sick. One Saturday morning when I came in from my O/N shift at Walmart, I found sweet Buzzie in sad shape. She was curled into the white plastic trash can in the bathroom.
I grabbed the trash can with her still in it and took her to the only vet clinic open on Saturday at that time, Animal Care Clinic.
When I brought her in, I was told the sad news like a shot of whiskey without a chaser: "This is a very sick cat." Buzzie didn't have a chance at surviving whatever she had.
I hated to do it but had to leave her there to be "put to sleep" and whatever the clinic did about burial in such cases because I did not have money at that time to have her cremated and keep her remains in a box like some of my other furry babes.
I am glad she had a home even for a short time and didn't die alone somewhere outside.
Know she is safe and happy on Rainbow Bridge with my other furry babes.
See you again some glorious day, my sweet Buzzie Belle. RIP.
Judy Sue Thomas.
