Hendrik Flink was born Monday, August 7, 1933 in Arnhem, Netherlands to Stephanus Flink and Hanna Westerhoff.

He immigrated to Salt Lake City with his family in 1949, where he attended East High School. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict, being stationed in Germany.

He was employed by Unisys (Paramax) for thirty-five years as a quality assurance engineer.

Henk was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, belonging to the Taylorsville Park Ward.

He was a good and loving man who loved his wife, children, church, travel, and music. Henk was a happy man with a zest for life. He knew he would not live long and his motto was to enjoy each day to the fullest and to not waste time in anger, and love your family. He will be missed.

Henk married his sweetheart, Sara Loie Curtis, on Friday, September 14, 1956 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They were the parents of four children: Sara (James) Andreason, Stephen (Cynthia), Richard (Karen), and Glen (JoAnn). At the time of his death, Henk was also survived by fourteen grandchildren, two sisters, and three brothers.

Henk passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 1992 in Salt Lake City after a heart attack. He resided at 1493 West 4920 South in Taylorsville at the time of his death.

Funeral services were held on Monday, November 30, 1992 at 12:00 p.m. in the Taylorsville Stake Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 4845 South Woodhaven Drive (1365 West) in Taylorsville. Calling hours were held on Sunday, November 29, 1992 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home located at 4330 South Redwood Road (1700 West) in Taylorsville, and prior to the services at the church on Monday from 11:00 until 11:40 a.m.
Henk was laid to rest following the conclusion of the funeral services at the Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery in Taylorsville.

Summary of funeral services:
Funeral services were held under the direction of Bishop Stuart Pearson.
The family prayer was offered by Stephen Flink.
The prelude and postlude music was offered by Ann Brown.
The invocation was offered by Jim Andreason.
Musical numbers performed included: "The Wind Beneath My Wings," which was performed by Karen Flink and accompanied by Helene Smith; "How Great Thou Art," which was performed by Ann Brown and LaDean Bowles; "Were You There" and "I Am a Child of God," which were performed by Hank's children and grandchildren; "Tumbleweeds" and Jesus Savior Pilot Me," which were performed by Theron Bowles, Dave Butterfield, Norm Tarbox, and Normand Gibbons and accompanied by LaDean Bowles; and "God Be With You Till We Meet Again," which was performed by the congregation.
Speakers included: Glenn Flink, Patriarch Theron Bowles, and Bishop Stuart Pearson.
The benediction was offered by John Van Weezep.
The grave was dedicated by Richard Flink.
Pallbearers included: Stephen Flink, Glenn Flink, Dale Curtis, John Flink, Richard Flink, James Andreason, Stephanus Flink, and Adriaan Flink.
Honorary pallbearers included: Grandsons: Chad, Chris, Michael, Dale, Jesse, Bryce, and Timothy.

Henk was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother.
