Mrs. Ruth Jackson
"BURLINGAME - Mrs. Ruth Jackson, 89, died Saturday at her home here. She had been admitted to a Topeka hospital last Jan. 6 after suffering a heart attack and apparently had another heat attack Saturday.
She was born Oct. 17, 1884, at Eskridge and lived in the Burlingame community since 1947. She was a member of the Methodist Church and the Merry Matrons Club at Burlingame.
Her husband, Elmer Jackson, died in 1951 and a son, Charles Jackson, died in 1967.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Wilkin, Burlingame; a son, Robert E. Jackson, Harveyville; five grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Carey Funeral Home at Burlingame. Burial will be in Burlingame Cemetery. Mrs. Jackson will lie in state after 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home."
