Abel Cleveland "Bud" Gay, Jr. of Ochlocknee, passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Thomasville. Funeral services for Mr. Gay will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, the Rev. Bob Smith and Brother Harry Gay officiating, with interment in Laurel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Gay was born to the late Abel Cleveland Gay, Sr. and Grace Oneta Hill Gay on April 11, 1933 in Norman Park, GA. He served in the United States Army and worked as a truck driver transporting mobile homes. Survivors include six children, Abel C. "Bud" Gay, III. of Wichita, TX, Wendell Gay of Las Vegas, NV, Debbie Stanard, Bonnie White, Karen Buckland, and Rita Kundrod all of Elyria, OH, two brothers Harry Gay of Morehead, KY, Gerald Gay of Irvington, AL and a sister, Donna Brown of Thomasville, and numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Eldridge Hill, and two sisters, Oneta Castleberry and Lillie Pye.
