Alvin was employed by Catholic Charities of Buffalo and the Erie Co. Welfare Department. He was a member of the Pierce Ave. Presbyterian Church in Niagara Falls, New York. He was an Organist for Churches in the New York area. He was a 1939 Graduate of City Honors High School of Buffalo, New York. He was a graduate of the University of Buffalo and recived a Bachelor and Masters in Social Work and also recived a Bachelor of Music degree at Eastman School of Music.
He is surived by one son, Jack Lawrence Uhlman of South Point, Ohio and one Brother, Donald Uhlman of Louisville, KY.
Graveside services will be 11:00am Friday (May 11, 2007) at Ice Creek Cemetery, with Minister David Heavner officiating. There will be no Visition. Phillips Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.phillipsfuneralhome.net
