Jimmy Earl Holloway, 80, of Monett went to be with his Lord in Heaven on Wednesday June 27, 2018 while at his home in Monett. He was born in Purdy, MO on August 7, 1937; the son of the late Earl & Dorothy {Prier} Holloway. He was united in marriage on July 4, 1957 in Monett to Linda Patton, she survives.

He was a member of the Gunter Methodist Church near Butterfield and was part of the Monett National Guard. Jim was a 1955 graduate of Purdy High School and after graduating started his career working for a poultry company in Cassville, he later changed jobs and began working for Armour poultry processing in Monett. He became a supervisor, working until the 1970’s. In June 1985, when Tyson Foods added a second shift, he joined Tyson and became the second shift manager. Around 1990 he became the personnel manager for Tyson’s plant in Green Forest, Arkansas, and commuted from Monett for that job. He later returned to the Monett plant and became personnel manager, the position he held when he retired.

Jim is survived by his wife Linda of the home; two sons: Mike Holloway and his wife Sherry, and Randy Holloway and his wife Christie all of Monett; six grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Earl and Dorothy; one daughter Vicki Holloway in 1980 and his sister Judy Spain.

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Gunter Methodist Church near Butterfield. Burial at the Gunter Cemetery.
